Politics and the Church – The Church and the Liberal / Progressive / Communist Threat [Part 14]

This week we will look at movements whose goals are to eliminate any opposition to Liberal/Progressive/Communist goals.  We will also see how some of our elected representatives of the people are contributing to these efforts to support national destructive goals.

#32   Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture…education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.  For decades the government’s various regulatory agencies have been setting new rules that carry the weight of law.  The original Constitution forbade this.  It made a clear distinction between the three branches of government, and stated in no uncertain terms , “All legislative powers granted shall be vested in Congress…which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.”  [US Constitution, Article I, Section I].  The Constitution does not grant Congress the power to delegate those legislative Powers to the Executive branch, or to anyone else.  “The legislative cannot transfer the power of making laws to any other hands, for it being but a delegated power from the people, they who have it cannot pass it over to others.” [John Locke, Two Treatises of Civil Government, II, page 141].  The actions and operations that fulfil Goal #32 are deeply entrenched in almost every layer, aspect and operation of the federal government today.

#33  Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.  The original goals of the Communist apparatus are kept alive by like-minded ‘Americans’ seeking bigger government and fewer rights.  The US academia by pushing the same ‘bigger government’ concepts on campuses across the country, while the media has become a vocal advocate as well.  As a result, the government is now the key dispenser of privileges to those it favors, and has become the power center that seeks ways to win support from the voters rather than to do what is best for the country, i.e.  maintaining the Constitution. [Congressional Progressive Caucus, “Progressive Promise”, Cardiff and Klein, Faculty Partisan Affiliation in All Disciplines: A Voter-Registration Study, Critical Review 17, 2005].  This shift in control of political power might not carry the old names and titles as the ‘Communist apparatus’ did in the 1960’s, but the ideas are the same…and just as deadly.

#34  Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities (HUAC).  The HUAC was created in 1938 to track subversive activities in the US.  In 1969, its name was changed to “House Committee on Internal Security”.  In 1975, it was abolished altogether.  The House Judiciary Committee took on the role of internal security investigations, but its primary focus is to oversee the judicial system.  (We are now ‘protected’ by a judicial system that is as corrupt as the systems it is supposed to protect citizens from, but that is a story for another time.)  The purpose and mission of the HUAC was overcome by time and by weakened priorities, and, for all practical intents and purposes has been eliminated.  Sounds like a victory for #34!

# 35  Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.  The Bureau remains an integral part of the American justice and investigative system despite the vigorous labors of some people…some, leaders or employees of the FBI…to politicize it or render it impotent.  Opponents of the FBI call it the foundation stone of a ‘police state’, a federal apparatus invading and violating civilian rights.  Achievement of this goal requires little effort by Communist elements as political pundits are doing quite well on their own.

#36  Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.  The Marxist concept of ‘Workers Unite’  has gradually fallen out of favor in the US.  Most of the right-to-work- states where the union’s grip has been broken are today prospering more than the union-heavy states.  The intransigence and radicalization of some unions forced the bankruptcy of several major organizations, i.e. Hostess, American Airlines, Detroit City, the automobile industry, etc.  Removing control of private property from the owners and putting it into the hands of the unions…Marx’s proletariat…is a primary tenet of Communism.  This is still a goal project in work.

#37  Infiltrate and gain control of big business.  We must ask, ‘infiltrate to do what?’ and ‘gain control to do what?’  Over the past 50 years, economic prowess has risen to become a more powerful agent of control than Communism itself.  The object is to win political control.  If a military operation is temporarily off the table, economic power certainly is still there.  More and more of the world is discovering that economic control carries more political weight than the exchange of bombs and bullets.  While these financial powerhouse alignments may not be touting Communist ideologies, they are achieving the same ends.  They are controlling other nations through economic means.  It is another route to the same outcome.  In a roundabout way another Communist goal is being achieved…China.   Remember that in prior writing I reminded the reader that the Communist idealist is patient and persistent…they know when to back off and observe while waiting for the right time to go into action.

#38   Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies.  Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand or treat.  Social agencies and child protection services provide a valuable role in society, but giving them police powers has all too often rendered them monsters at the most intimate levels of society.  Actions by some have violated human decency, moral law, and have wreaked havoc in heated situations that most police departments are better suited to handle.  For example, with the signature of two doctors, some states permitted a citizen to be arrested, medicated with drugs, and confined without a hearing for a designated time.  Such confinement is a clear violation of the Constitution and have brought about legal challenges.

#39  Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.  In 1962, Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy ordered the highly decorated Major General Edwin Walker to an insane asylum for a 90-day evaluation because of Walker’s political views that were opposed to Kennedy’s.  Another psychiatrist protested and Walker was released after five days.  Here we have citizens outside the justice system involved with incarceration.  Kennedy received no disciplinary action.  Actor Sean Penn called for conservatives (Tea Party Members) to be forcefully institutionalized by executive order. [Cheryl K. Chumley, Sean Penn, Commit Tea Partiers, Ted Cruz ‘by executive order’, The Washington Times, October 29, 2013].  Psychology professor Barry Kuhle at the University of Scranton said, “signs of psychopathology can…be seen among…conservative politicians, especially when you consider a wide range of illness indicators.”  [Barry H. Kuhle, Conservatism as a Mental Illness, Psychology Today, June 12, 2012].  (for those who have been involved with restrictions on registered citizens, we well understand the false information that this magazine spews.]   Professor Nancy Meyer-Emerick, Cleveland State University, created a “right wing authoritarian” (RWA) test to uncover authoritarian tendencies: Republicans cluster at the high end of the RWA scale whereas Democrats range across the scale.”  [Ronald Bailey, Pathologizing Conservatism, reason.com, October 20, 2004].  In Psychological Bulletin, four university professors concluded, “The core ideology of conservatism stresses resistance to change and justification of inequality and is motivated by needs that vary situationally and dispositionally to manage uncertainty and threat…” [J.T. Jost, J. Glaser, A.W. Kruglanski, F.J. Sulloway, Psychological Bulletin, May 2003].  Many tools such as these to silence opposing voices became available to politicians and academia when Americans surrendered their best interests to a small cadre of elitists in academia, medicine, and politics.  As a result,  enemies of the Constitution and free speech are fostering their own version of the 1950’s “red scare” with a present day “red-white-and-blue scare.”

Over the last 244 years since declaring independence, the nation has degenerated…ethically, morally, spiritually, and legally…to the point that, in retrospect, the rule of King Goerge III looks benign by comparison. Many Christians are beginning to wonder where are the churches?  This is a political situation where silence and disassociation can mean the demise of the church as we know it.  It’s all part of the plan to eliminate the church seen by the Communist as an enemy.  Next week we will take a look at a direct effort to destroy one of the major points of God’s will for mankind…the family and the rearing of children.  Can many churches continue to pretend that they have no part to play in politics?
