We have already established that the Word of God declares homosexuality to be an abomination and a sin. This is not a position that was established by recent societal mores. We know too that whatever our sin(s), if we repent and ask God for forgiveness, He will forgive us. However, today there are many ‘Christians’ who support homosexuality and gay marriage. They either do not know the Word of God or they are consciously opposing it. The Bible is so clear on the topic of homosexuality that it says that men should not even dress as a woman and women not dress as men. The Bible says, “A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God.” [Deuteronomy 22:5]. Cross dressing (wearing clothing typical of the opposite sex), is an abomination to God. Today we have ‘drag queens’…cross dressers…being invited into our schools and libraries to read to our children. Both Stalin and Hitler…agents of the angel of light…said that if they had access to the children they would turn them away from their parents within a relatively short period of time.
Today there are some ‘pastors’ who support homosexuality and gay marriage. It would seem logical that if one endorses homosexuality, one must also endorse those other sins listed in First Corinthians. Imagine hearing such a sermon in church. It might go something like this…’it is okay to steal, have sex outside of marriage, have gay sex, get drunk, abuse people’. What joy Satan would have at hearing such a sermon! God’s position on homosexuality in both the Old and New Testament is clear. The sins of Sodom and Gomorrah are a clear example of how God views homosexuality. The Bible says, “as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” [Jude 1:7]. Do not be confused. Unrepentant sin will be punished. This is where we got the word ‘sodomy’ from. I shall not go into any further details.
The angel of light and his liberal minions use the tactic of silence to try to keep us on the sidelines. If you oppose gay marriage, you will be labeled as intolerant or as a homophobe. Unless you know the Word of God, you could fall for the tactic. Phobia is a fear. We are not to fear the individuals but to fear the damage their sins can do. Always remember, you are either with God or against God. Supporting gay marriage endorses the homosexual lifestyle. The Bible says we are to warn others of their sin, nor endorse it or God will hold us accountable. You cannot support parts of God’s Word and ignore other parts. The Bible is either all true or none of it is true. Anyone’s desire to want to pick and choose what to believe is saying that one is wiser than God. The Bible says, “Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, And prudent in their own sight.” [Isaiah 5:21].
The Bible is the moral authority for Christians. Without a moral authority, morality would be on a case by case basis. What is moral for one person, would not be moral for another. It can lead to Satan’s ‘slippery slope’. As we have seen with time, man’s standards change…we experience it every day. God’s standards never change. I could go into some of the perversions we see today but I want to keep this ‘family friendly’. Perversion is the alteration of something from its original course and meaning, or corruption of what was first intended. Satan perverts things meant for good and turning them from their original intention to destroy. Liberal platforms tend to pervert the Word of God so as to use it to destroy. Here’s an example. The Boy Scouts of America were founded in 1910. This organization has developed numerous male leaders in this nation…and others. The rank of ‘Eagle Scout’ is a distinction that is recognized and honored throughout businesses and the military. It is a lifetime ‘badge of honor’. Recently, bowing to pressure from liberals and the LGBTQ communities, it allowed openly gay scouts and scout leaders to join the program. It then changed its name to Scouts BSA and began to allow girls into their ranks. I have nothing against girls but there is a Girl Scouts program for them. Such a mix is a recipe for disaster. After such decisions and many lawsuits, Boy Scouts BSA filed for bankruptcy in 2018. A Christian based organization became a victim of the angel of light. Bankruptcy is now being actively pursued.
Lastly, the Bible speaks only of marriage between a man…the husband, and a woman…the wife. Ever wonder how in a same sex ‘marriage’ they figure out who is the husband and who is the wife? I won’t even hazard a guess. Genesis 2:23-24 addresses God’s definition of marriage. Today, there are gender neutral pronouns…whatever those are…to replace male and female. There is ‘Ey’, ‘Ne’, ‘Xe’, ‘Ze’,…Liberals have come up with hundreds of ways to self-identify beyond male and female. The liberal platform…sometimes known as progressive…???…is in support of people defining themselves as whatever they want to be. A male can say ‘he’ is a female, and a female can say ‘she’ is a male. You can be ‘gender fluid’ depending on the situation. Justification? They say God made a mistake. I want to make it clear…God never makes a mistake. We are all made as we are with a purpose. We may not know what that purpose is, but God knows. The Bible says,“…some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.” [2 Peter 3:16]. No wonder so many youth are killing others and/or committing suicide.
The liberal platform is so opposed to the Word of God, that it is against Christian counseling on homosexuality. You will find their platform working to enact laws making it illegal to counsel homosexuals and warning them that their lifestyle is a sin. Turning from homosexuality (sin) is not the desire of Satan. The liberal platform is the same as endorsing homosexuality. They try to silence you and enact laws that prevent people from learning the truth about the Word of God. They do not want you to repent, because repentance is the first step to forgiveness which leads to salvation which opens one’s eyes to exactly what are sin’s temptations. God wants us to repent and ask for forgiveness. The Bible says, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” [2 Peter 3:9].
When Satan and his minions were cast out of Heaven they were cast down to earth where Satan established his stronghold. God, too, saw the beauty of earth and created ‘man’ to inhabit it. At that point the battle began. Satan will do all in his power to reclaim the sovereignty he feels is rightfully his. Next week we will look at ‘environmentalism’…either a plan to protect God’s gift or Satan’s project to take the focus off of God.
