How many have fallen for the ploy that the government is here to help you and take care of your needs? The angel of light has been selling that for some time. What is the liberal agenda’s real goal? Could it be to have you dependent on government instead of God? To replace God in your life and trap you in bondage? To many this seems like the easy way out. It reminds me of a Mad Magazine’s character of years ago…Alfred E. Newman and his “What, me Worry?!” Why make any effort in life if ‘Uncle Sugar’ is going to care for me? What does the Bible say? “Do not turn to idols, nor make yourselves molded gods: I am the lord your God.” [Leviticus 19:4].
Acquisition of power and control is the ultimate aim. The liberal platform, like Satan, desires to entrap you in bondage. The goal, just as with Satan, is to become a god (an idol) to you. It is a false god, because God does not want you trapped in bondage. Liberals would accomplish this with an elaborate scheme of providing for needs and wants in the form of government handouts (call them benefits or entitlements) and over a period of time entrapping the individual in a system of dependency. What might this look like? ‘Free’ food, ‘free’ college, ‘free’ healthcare, ‘free’ housing, guaranteed monthly income, etc. You do not have to be a ‘rocket scientist’ to know that nothing is ‘free’. Such a system is based on greed and envy. I call it a ‘Robin Hood’ system…take from the rich and give to the poor. How long do you think such a system could survive?
What makes a government ‘servant’ a celebrity? Do they serve for the purpose of serving the public or is it a case of pride and greed. Ever wonder how a government ‘servant’ can become a millionaire in government ‘service’? The Bible says that Satan was once called Lucifer in Heaven. He was an arch angel. Because of his position he became prideful. He desired to be like God. Do you see any connection with some of today’s government ‘servants’? The Bible says, “For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.” [Isaiah 14:13-14]. The Bible says Satan was cast out of Heaven for his pride. He wanted to be worshiped like God. It’s the reason God hates pride. A method to receive that worship today is to turn people from God and to the government as the provider of all of life’s needs. God desires a relationship with you and Satan wants to destroy you by removing all self sense of responsibility and giving it to the government. Don’t kid yourself. The angel of light is actively at work in today’s society.
No doubt, the angel of light is a tempter. Satan lied and twisted the Word of God tempting Eve. Eve believed Satan, disobeyed God, and it led to sin and to the fall of man. Satan even lied and twisted the Word of God, tempting Jesus. Jesus did not fall for the lies, deception and tempting of Satan. Jesus knew the Word of God and used it to combat Satan. As a result man was redeemed. If you look at the tactics of Satan, he lied, twisted the Word of God, and used temptation…sometime disguised as ‘compassion and understanding’. He tempts with lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. The Bible says, “For all that is in the world…the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life…is not of the Father but is of the world.” [1 John 2:15].
Jesus could not be deceived because He knew the Word of God. It is the reason that Satan and the liberal platform want to eliminate God and the Bible in society. If you do not know the Bible, you will fall for Satan’s lies when the Word of God is twisted. Satan knows our weaknesses, we all have them. He will tempt you with the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. Satan will lead you into sin and bondage. I know because he almost did me. We must have the ‘belt of truth’ in our weapons selection. We must know the Word of God (truth) to fight off Satan. The Bible says, “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” [John 8:32].
One of the most corrupt ways you could think of for a political party to win an election would be to just simply buy votes. Yes, I mean hand out cash to people as they go to the voting booths. That is illegal…that is another definition that liberals are lost on…but when you classify that money as government handouts, it becomes entirely legal. Trading government handouts for votes is a corruption of the political system. How can something so compassionate be a corruption? That’s what the angel of light would want you to think. To take this ‘corruption’ to an even more perverse level, would be to make those government handouts so easily obtainable that people become dependent on the handouts to survive, entrapped in a system of dependence. Then over a period of time, recipients become so dependent on these government handouts, they are used as leverage to liberal advantage during elections.
Once in bondage and entrapped in these handouts, the liberals will say to those receiving the handouts, “if you vote for the opposing party, you will lose your free healthcare, your food stamps, your free housing, everything, including your freedom.” Their political opposition wants to starve children, throw people out on the streets, poison the rivers, kill the elderly… Everything in the liberal platform begins and ends with the idolatry of government. The liberal platform wants to be a place of refuge for you…how compassionate! The liberal platform wants you to trust them at all times and in all occasions. However, there is only one thing wrong with this approach. It is not the purpose of government to supply your needs. The Bible says,” And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” [Philippians 4:19]. Nowhere in the Bible does it say to trust in government. The official motto of the United States is “In God We Trust”. No wonder the liberals want to do away with it and any other reference to God in government. Miracles can happen when you trust in God. We are to listen to God and put our faith and trust in Him…not government.
