Politics and the Church – The Church v. the Angel of Light [Part 2]

Liberals, like Satan, must lie and deceive you.  Satan, does not only lie, but is such a master at deception, he will even transform himself to appear good when he is trying to destroy you.  “And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.”  [2 Corinthians 11:14].  The definition of ‘deceive’ is to cause someone to believe something that is not true to gain some personal advantage.  Satan transforms himself to appear good, to trick you into believing something that is against the will of God; something that is destructive to you, those around you, and to society.

Let’s take a look at an example.  Planned Parenthood (an organization affiliated with the liberal agenda), describes itself as one of the nation’s leading providers of high-quality, affordable health care, and the nation’s largest provider of sex education offering “compassionate care, backed by medical experts and more than 100 years of research in reproductive health.”  Sounds great!  How can anyone not support such a ‘compassionate’ organization?  However, when you look at the method they use to accomplish their goal, it is abortion.  The result over time is that Planned Parenthood commits over 330,000 abortions (murders) a year.  If you get a chance, go see the movie “Unplanned“.  It will help expose you to their world of ‘compassion’.

If you take a look at the liberal platform, it sounds like it stands for such wonderful things. It’s a platform that stands for building strong cities, expanding access to affordable housing, ending poverty, protecting voting rights, equality in marriage, preventing gun violence, and securing reproductive health rights.  It all sounds great until you look deeper.  If you could ask an aborted baby about health rights, what do you think its opinion would be?  Compare liberal methods to the Word of God. Through Scripture you would find that the liberal platform is demonic and entirely not Biblical.  It opposes the Word of God on every issue.  Liberal tactics are very similar to tactics Satan uses for deception.  If Satan or the liberal platform told you the truth of what they were attempting to accomplish (bondage and destruction), you would not fall for their schemes.  If liberals cannot win an election, they will try to destroy their opponents or render them useless in accomplishing their goals.  It is the same tactic Satan uses.  They will attempt to destroy anyone who opposes them.

In the first book of the Old Testament Satan lied to Eve in an attempt to get her to be disobedient to God.  In the first book of the New Testament Satan twisted the Word of God attempting to deceive Jesus to be disobedient to God. However, Jesus knew the Word of God and did not fall for the lies of Satan.  Be warned when you hear a liberal quote the Bible as it will always be out of context.  Like Satan, they will twist the Word of God to deceive you.  To protect against the deception and lies of Satan, it is important to know the Word of God.  Truth is the first thing you need to protect yourself against the schemes of Satan and it is the first piece of armor of God.  “Stand therefore, having girded your waste with truth, The belt of truth is the first piece of armor of God.”  [Ephesians 6:14].  Not knowing the Word of God will lead you astray in life.  It will lead you down a path of bondage and destruction.  By voting for candidates that support non-Biblical values it will also lead down the path of bondage and destruction of communities and countries.  George Washington said,”It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible.”  The Bible says,“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” [Hosea 4:6].

Let’s look at an example.  No one can ever determine who is going to hell and who is going to Heaven.  No one knows the entire facts of a person’s life or knows what is in their heart.  Only God knows such things.  When people sin, to defend it, many will say”do not judge me.”  This is a liberal defense by those who do not know scripture.  You should get the facts before you form an opinion.  The origin of this quote is from the Bible…”Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”  [John 7:24].  God is against judging by appearance.  However, God is for judging when you have all the facts.  It is called righteous judging.  When we put our opinion ahead of the facts we are going contrary to the Word of God and can be leading ourselves and others down the path to destruction.

To not fall victim to the lies of Satan, we must truly believe that the Bible is the Truth.  Next week we will take a look at standing for the Word of God and its Truth.  This is not a position for spectators.
