The Bible says the Word of God is the truth. When you live your life according to the Bible, it proves its truth every time. Normal Vincent Peale said, “The Bible – the wisest document ever known in human existence, which defies the ravages of time and change because it contains the truth that cannot be changed or invalidated.” The Bible says:
“Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.” [Proverbs 30:5]
“Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.” [John 17:17]
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” [2 Timothy 3:16-17]
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way and the truth, and the life.'” [John 14:6]
You must know there are no grey areas with the things that matter to God. Some candidates for office will refuse to take a stand on certain issues. Some liberals when backed into a “controversial corner” will try to escape by saying, “it is not that simple, there are grey areas.” God has no grey areas. God cares about your destiny. He cares about eternity. God cares about issues that have eternal consequences. If you believe there are grey areas in the Bible, then you have not read the Bible, or you do not understand it. Every answer to important questions of life are found in the Bible. God is not a coward and there is no in between with God. He takes a stand for good against evil. There is one Heaven and one hell and there is no in between. Billy Sunday said, “God keeps no half-way house.” The Bible says, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” [Matthew 7:13-14].
You cannot stand on the sidelines. If you believe in grey areas, it keeps you on the sidelines. You must choose a side and there are only two sides, God or Satan. You are either with God or against God…and for Satan. Being neutral is being against God. God knows that if Satan cannot convince you to reject God outright, he will try to neutralize you by keeping you on the sidelines with lies. Martin Luther King Jr. reminded us, “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands in times of challenge and controversy.” Further Winston Churchill said, “Courage is the first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees all the others.” Satan will try to infuse cowardice into our character to keep us from pointing out sin in a political agenda.
The Bible says, “When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you shall surely die!’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his ways, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your soul.” [Ezekiel 33:8-9]. This means that if we can warn the wicked of their evil and do not, God will hold us accountable. It is the reason that Christians speak out in opposition issues like gay marriage and abortion. Satan deplores those who do speak out.
Here’s something to consider: Does Satan, dictators, and liberals share similar characteristics?
– Goal is to replace God with their policies.
– They desire to have their policies worshiped.
– They lie and twist the Word of God to accomplish their goals.
– They want you to be dependent upon them for survival.
– They masquerade as angels of light.
– They want to restrict your freedoms and desire you to be defenseless.
– They see no problem in stealing, confiscating, and over taxing
– They turn evil into good and good into evil.
– The result of their policies is eventual destruction.
– They want to remove Jesus from society.
The end result of people ruled by Satan, a dictatorship, or liberal policies is poverty, destruction, and death. These cities have been run by liberal policies for decades: Baltimore, St. Louis, Detroit, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Birmingham, Washington DC, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Atlanta, and Chicago. What do they have in common? They are filled with poverty, drugs, crime, homelessness, despair, and murder. These are some of the worst cities in America. Elections are not a choice between two sinners. It is a choice between two political platforms. One represents God and the other represents Satan. The Bible says, “The thief (Satan) does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” [John 10:10]. I will leave it up to you as to which is which.
Next week we will embark on a series of issues where we will examine which platforms align with God and which ones align with Satan. You will have to decide for yourselves as to which platform is which.
