Every winter in Davos, Switzerland, a tiny town of about 11,000 inhabitants located in the Eastern Alps, about 1,000 special guests gather for the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum. The attendees are the titans of industry and government from around the world. They hold vast amounts of power, influence, and wealth. While their backgrounds, ethnicities, and citizenship may differ, they are united in sharing the vision of a one-world government…a true global communist community. The United States, unfortunately, provides attendees.
The mission statement of the WEF reads as follows:
The World Economic Forum is an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas. Incorporated as a not-for-profit foundation in 1971, and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, the Forum is tied to no political, partisan, or national interests.
Sounds harmless enough. In fact, it almost sounds like nothing at all. For the average person who proceeds no further, reading such a mission statement would likely produce a shrug and a simple ‘Sounds alright to me.’ Then we take a look at the WEF’s vision statement which at first sight, is equally innocuous:
To catalyze and integrate global, regional and industry transformation processes as the trusted partner of our members and constituents.
Reading the mission and vision statements of the WEF, one could reasonably conclude that its aim is simply to bring together different members of the global community to work collaboratively. That sounds positive to most people. However, the problem lies in the deceptive nature of the message. When the members of the WEF come together to work collaboratively, they do so voluntarily. But the hidden truth at the heart of their project is that they are forcing every citizen in the world to join them and do their bidding, not God’s.
As Christians, we are warned of such deceptions:
The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refuse to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason, God sends them a powerful delusion so they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12).
The people identified as the ‘Leadership & Governance’ of the WEF are a Who’s Who of international influence. They include the CEPs of Siemans, Blackrock, and Carlyle. Also on board is the president of MIT and the head of the World Trade Organization. Even our nation’s old friend and ‘size 50 carbon footprint- bearer, Al Gore is one of the trusted advisors. The list of those who participate in, and significantly influence, the WEF but who are not named on their sites include Bill Gates, Justin Trudeau, and Emmanuel Macron. Vladimir Putin was a past Young Global Leader of the WEF. These are the elite of the elite in terms of possessing world power and wealth.
At the epicenter of it all is the frighteningly baritone and monotone Klaus Schwab…a man who looks the part of a James Bond villain, right down to his 21st-century looking spacesuit with a scary medallion. Schwab is the founder of WEF and holds several positions within the organization. While he is no longer the chairman by name, make no mistake: the WEF is the German mastermind’s baby, and nothing about its agenda takes place without his nod of approval. Schwab was born in Germany in 1938 and holds numerous degrees from prestigious universities in the US and Europe. He founded the Forum in 1971, the same year in which he published Modern Enterprise Management in Mechanical Engineering, a drab sounding title for a book that proved incredibly important. In that work, Schwab argued that the management of a modern enterprise must serve not only shareholders but all stakeholders to achieve long-term growth and prosperity. The term ‘stakeholder capitalism’ has become well known to Americans over the past few years, but typically is referred to under its ‘street name’ of woke corporations. In stakeholder capitalism, companies are urged to place their definition of the greater good above considerations of what benefits shareholders. At first look, stakeholder capitalism sounds harmless, even vaguely good to the average citizen. ‘Greater good’ sounds…well…good to most people, until they are forced to confront the fact that someone else’s definition of the greater good may in fact mean their greater harm.
Here’s what must be understood: Schwab is a Marxist through and through. Not only does his stakeholder capitalism concept expose his attachment to the ideological ‘greater good’ over economic freedom, but the agenda he sets through the WEF makes it clear that he believes he and his followers can finally find the right path to Marx’s end of history.
But now let’s get back to the little town of Davos. What do these thousand or so movers and shakers do in Davos each winter? It’s doubtful they go there for skiing. They issue reports that create an agenda. One of these reports is a risk assessment, where they tell you what they think you need to worry about as a citizen of the global community. They also issue an agenda from their conference, the 2022 version of which includes some of the following headings:
> Five reasons why eating insects can reduce climate change;
> Businesses need cleaner governance to get to net zero;
> Three reasons why private equity can lead the charge on ESG strategy;
> Rethinking global supply chains for the energy transition
There’s more, but just that sampling looks like the Christmas list Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would give to Santa (if AOC believed in Christmas).
The purpose of this Davos report and attendant agenda is to move toward a world that the WEF predicted would be in existence by 2030. Now, when you think about predictions, there are two kinds that can be made. One kind comes from an outsider who is watching events unfold and who tries to alert people as to what is likely to happen. The other kind of prediction is made by an insider who is actively pulling the levers to make predictions come true. The WEF is that second kind of predictor. Back in 2016, it issued a document that made eight predictions of what the world would be like in 2030. Here’s what the WEF’s crystal ball shows:
> All products will have become services.
> There is a global price on carbon.
> US dominance is over. We will have a handful of global powers.
> Farewell hospital, hello home-spital.
> We are going to eat less meat.
> Today’s Syrian refugees, 2030’s CEOs.
> The values that built the West will have been tested to the breaking point.
> By the 2030’s, we’ll be ready to move humans toward the Red Planet.
It is worth noting that the above list wasn’t always the actual list. It has been modified and backdated…much like an unscrupulous attorney might do if they realized they had made a mistake and wanted to try to fix it without anyone noticing. Here then is the list as it first appeared before it was cleaned up/sanitized to make it more acceptable for the public:
> You’ll own nothing and be happy.
> The US won’t be the world’s superpower.
> You won’t die waiting for an organ donor.
> You’ll eat less meat.
> A billion people will be displaced by climate change.
> You could be preparing to go to Mars.
> Western values will be tested to their breaking point.
> Fossil fuels will be eliminated.
While there are clear similarities between the two sets of predictions, the original language reveals just how extreme the WEF and its members are. It also portrays just how much they would like to see an end to life as we have come to know it since the Enlightenment. If you look at the sanitized set of predictions, you will notice that they are still outrageous. An average person would likely dismiss them as farfetched and think that these rich folks at the WEF are just a bunch of privileged loons. But why then, would a very public secret society dedicated to having its members dominate the world place such a document in a prominent position on their website? The answer may just be a bit of reverse Marxist psychology. In placing its outrageous predictions on display for everyone to read, the WEF might then be ignored as nothing more than a glorified, idealist think tank. Meanwhile, they freely go about the Devil’s business of creating agendas and action plans all designed to make their 2030 insider ‘predictions’…ambitions…come true. To be successful, however, the WEF must tear down the existing economic and social infrastructure of Western Civilization. Its members know that the West, specifically America, will not easily give up their freedoms (more of this next week) and surrender to a globalist Marxist cartel. In order to make their dreams come true, they need to break everything before they can put it back together. That process…breaking Western Civilization and reconstructing it in their own demonic image…is what goes by the name the Great Reset.
Next week we will start going through some of their predictions and consider how Scripture has warned and prepared us for what the Devil…Satan…from Davos has in store for us. We will do this by taking a closer look at the Great Reset to understand its role in carrying out the WEF’s plan.
