So, what is it that Communist leadership wants to do/accomplish in their role toward Communist world domination? If the researcher will read the reports of Congressional hearings, together with available books by ex-Communists, he will find all the Communist objectives in detail. It has not been kept a secret, or at least not a well-kept secret. It will become easy to see how well-intentioned citizens have become involved in pushing forward the Communist program without realizing it. Soon they became converted to Communist objectives. So, what were these objectives and how could so many get pulled in before they realized they had been ‘okey-doked’?
> US acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
> US willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.
(We see this ploy being used in the Ukraine intrusion.)
> Develop the illusion that total disarmament by the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
> Permit free trade between nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
> Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet Satellites.
> Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
> Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the UN.
(This has been done and makes the UN useless in taking on Communist aggression.)
> Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s promise in 1955 to settle the Germany question by free elections under supervision of the UN.
(We saw how that did not work. It took a president with fortitude and German citizens to make it happen. We now have a united Germany.)
> Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the US has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.
> Allow all Soviet satellites representation in the UN.
(What a way to nullify the UN!)
> Promote the UN as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces.
(Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the UN as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they did in the Congo.)
> Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
> Do away with loyalty oaths.
> Continue giving Russia access to the US Patent office.
> Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States. (This plan is already underway.)
> Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming that their activities violate civil rights.
> Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teacher’s associations. Put the party line in textbooks. (Just follow what is going on in today’s schools.)
> Gain control of all student newspapers.
> Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
> Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, and policy making decisions. (This plan is well underway.)
> Gain control of key positions in radio, TV and motion pictures. (At one time NBC, CBS, CNN, etc were the place to go to get the truth on political/world events…today???)
> Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.” (We have already seen this happen around the country. It’s part of a divide and destroy strategy and much of the artwork that celebrates this nation’s history now rests in heap piles of trash.)
> Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive meaningless art.”
> Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and violation of free speech and free press. (I am ‘sure’ this is what our founders had in mind when they wrote our Constitution.)
> Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV. (This plan is well underway.)
> Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, and healthy”. (This plan is being helped along by our government and the failure of the church for fear of offending.)
> Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with ‘social’ religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for ‘intellectual maturity’ which does not need a ‘religious crutch’. (Church attendance has been steadily declining because society is not seeing need for it. Satan is having a ‘hay day’.)
> Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.” (This is what can happen if a society becomes ignorant of the basis for that statement. It’s an excuse that Satan and his cronies use to drive society further and further away from the Judeo-Christian founding principles of this nation.)
It would be good if this was all that that Communism had in mind for a free society, but unfortunately it is not so. Next week I will continue with the plans that make up the Communist playbook for world domination. In 1978, Harvard University conferred an honorary degree…yes, I said honorary…in literature on Solzhenitsyn, a Russian writer and devout Christian who spoke with a voice similar to that of Jeremiah. In his writing he exposed the horrors of the forced labor camp system in the Soviet Union. For this he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1970. For speaking out against the corrupt and abusive Soviet system, he was imprisoned and/or exiled from his home from 1945 to 1956, surviving cancer during this timeframe. He was constantly threatened, reviled, and slandered by the Russian government. The one positive event is that he was stripped of his Russian citizenship.
During the Harvard Commencement he gave an address entitled “A World Split Apart”, an address that shocked the nation. Political liberals and conservatives alike were outraged. He spoke not of the moral bankruptcy of the Soviet Union, but against the spiritual bankruptcy and corrupt materialism of America and Western civilization. He excoriated the worldview of those in America who taught that there was no God, no battle between good and evil in the world, and no higher goal than gaining ‘happiness’ through materialism. He declared that the world was divided between two contrasting worldviews: democratic capitalism in the West and totalitarian communism in the East. Yet these two opposing worldviews had one thing in common that was leading the human race toward destruction: godless materialism. Both had rejected moral absolutes and the authority of God over the affairs of men. Godlessness had become as pervasive in American culture and American entertainment media as it was in the officially atheist society of the Soviet Union. If human society, whether in the democratic West or the communist East, continued to treat God as an irrelevant myth rather than our Creator and Judge, civilization was doomed. The message was essentially the same as Jeremiah delivered to the nation of Judah: Godlessness will destroy a nation, whether that nation is Judah or a communist evil empire or a lust-crazed, hedonistic, materialistic America. As Solzhenitsyn said (and surely Jeremiah would have agreed), “Truth seldom is sweet; it is almost invariably bitter.”
If we are honest, we have to admit that there have been times when we have feared to speak up for Christ and His gospel. We fear what others might think of us, we fear being thought of as ‘uncool’, we fear being considered a ‘fanatic’. If we fear to speak God’s truth because of what others might think of us, how will we ever take a stand for Christ when our lives are on the line?
Next week we will continue to take a look at the goals in the Communist playbook. Reports of Congressional hearings and books by ex-Communists, will find these goals in detail. An uneducated society can fall into the ‘trap’ and find it may be too late to get free. We must remember that human life has no meaning in the communist pursuit of power and control. Freedom loving people must be willing to stand up to tyranny. Let’s pray that we have not stepped so far away from God that He will leave us on our own to fight the evils of Satan.
