Politics and the Church – Building a Free Nation [Part 19]

Here is what can happen if man is free to ignore God and establish standards that are nauseating to say the least. Given the legacy media’s pro-abortion bias, you probably didn’t hear about the horrific discovery of the bodies of five babies who were viable and yet mercilessly and brutally killed at a Washington, D.C., abortion mill.  It involves the Curtis Bay Medical Waste Services.  Curtis Bay sends its fleet of waste disposal trucks to abortion mills in the Mid-Atlantic region of the country, collect their ‘waste products’…namely the bodies of the tiny babies that have been butchered in abortions…and takes them to Curtis Bay incinerators where they are burned and converted into energy.  That’s something you’d expect to read in a demonic science fiction fantasy novel.  But in today’s America it’s not fiction.  It’s actually happening.  Every day.

A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.  And the ‘weak link’ in the abortion ‘chain’ is the for-profit companies that come to America’s ‘death mills’, collect the bodies of the babies who’ve been killed there and dispose of them.  Is there a church that would support such actions?  I doubt it.  However, by man’s laws it is legal…that’s politics.

What happens if there are no companies willing to do this grisly job?  Abortionist Renee Chelian gave an answer when she admitted to her fellow baby killers: “We are one incinerator — one incinerator company — away from being closed.”  She’s absolutely correct.  Abortion mills don’t have the facilities to dispose of the bodies of the babies they murder.  They need accomplices to do that, and those accomplices are the ‘incinerator companies’.

The Weak Link Project is designed specifically to convince incinerator companies like Curtis Bay Waste Disposal to stop doing the baby killer’s dirty work.  Curtis Bay is the worst of these companies.  It’s the accomplice of the notorious D.C. late-term abortionist Cesare Santangelo, a ‘doctor’ who committed the crimes of infanticide, whom I shall now tell you about.  Several months ago, Lauren Handy — a tireless pro-life activist — came into possession of five viable human beings who were brutally murdered at Santangelo’s Surgi-Clinic in Washington, D.C.  Lauren informed the D.C. homicide unit of the babies she received and surrendered them to authorities in hopes they would investigate their deaths because, from all appearances, the infant bodies discovered indicated acts of infanticide after attempted abortions failed to kill the babies.  They were fully developed children. Their deaths were nothing less than a calculated murder.  Lauren provided Created Equal, the sponsor of the Weak Link Project with over three dozen photos of these defenseless victims.  One picture even showed the severed head of a child.

And believe it or not, Curtis Bay Energy is burning the bodies of aborted babies to generate electricity for those who live in the Baltimore area.  Just as shocking is the fact that Curtis Bay is proud of this.  Its website proclaims: “We manage the largest medical waste incinerator in the US and the only facility in the Northeast Region that utilizes Waste-to-Energy incineration to safely convert infectious/biomedical waste and non-hazardous pharmaceuticals into useful energy.”   Think about that!  Curtis Bay Energy, which services much of the East Coast, converts aborted babies into electricity for use in households and businesses in the Baltimore, MD, area. That might be something we would expect straight out of the concentration camps of Nazi Germany.  But it’s happening right here in the United States.  It’s revolting and organizations such as Created Equal are exposing it.  One can see Curtis Bay employees loading boxes filled with the bodies of babies killed in abortions into trucks to be taken from an abortion mill to massive incinerators …and burned to make electricity.

In so-called third world countries, they throw abandoned babies into mass graves and landfills.  Here in America, we are much more sophisticated but just as barbaric.  We kill babies by evil ‘doctors’…it’s disgusting for them to even be called that…in what they call ‘surgical centers’ and then pay ‘medical waste’ companies to dispose of them by burning them for electricity.  It doesn’t get any sicker than this!  This is what can happen when God’s church divorces itself from politics.  By man’s laws, this is perfectly legal.

Of course, Curtis Bay CEO Mark Schifani and the executives of Curtis Bay go out of their way to whitewash their barbarity, going so far as to pat themselves on the back for “investing in research and sustainable waste management solutions that generate the lowest carbon footprint.”  Where have we heard ‘carbon footprint’ before?  But there is no way to whitewash this.  The blood on their hands is too thick to cover over.

This is just one story of an organization that is working to destroy the ‘abortion industry’…and that is just what it is, an industry of death.  They believe they are going to win this fight against infant murder.  They don’t know when victory will happen, but they believe it will happen.  The reason they know it will is because of the promise Christ made to us when He said: “The gates of hell will not prevail against you.”  Their key to victory is to be on the offensive.  Our Lord calls us to wage war on the enemies of life.  That means that God’s Church cannot divorce itself from this effort.  The Church does so knowing that the gates of their fortress…the abortion fortress…will not withstand the attacks by Christians.  And without question, the doors of America’s abortion mills are those ‘gates of hell’ Jesus is talking about.

I am reminded of a part of the book of Judges concerning an example of personal idolatry.  “In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” (Judges 17:6) Today, have we gotten to that point in the United States… America?  Do we have no government leadership and is everyone doing what is right in their own eyes…including murdering innocent human life?

Next week we will continue with a review of the Ten Commandments and their impact on the laws of our nation.  Certainly, our founders did not ignore them the way some of today’s government leadership is doing. We will continue with the Fifth Commandment.
